• Mercy by Victor Methos. The second book in the series.
• Word by Word: The Secret Life of Dictionaries by Kory Stamper. How dictionaries get written and what it's like to work for one.
• The Last Queen of England by Steve Robinson. Did Queen Anne actually have an heir? And why does it matter now?
• Significant Figures: The Lives and Works of Great Mathematicians by Ian Stewart.  The subtitle tells it.
